Service Tooling runs many hardware programs at once - vehicle launches, Semi, Optimus, automation - with a small engineering group. The Technical Project Engineer keeps those programs real: suppliers, dates, releases, and the status leadership uses. You need enough technical judgment to see when a date is not true.
Coordinate across programs: what is in flight, what is blocked, and what has to land for a launch
Drive vendor and PO work - quotes, samples, delivery - without waiting to be chased
Keep a live picture of risk and progress the team will actually use. Do not rebuild status the night before a recap
Work with mechanical, electrical, and field engineers so the plan matches the hardware, not a slide
Put finished tools through the field-release path (documentation, catalog, procurement) when they are ready
Be someone the team and partner orgs can check with on program status
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience on technical hardware programs
3+ years coordinating engineering projects that include design, suppliers, and a field or factory customer
You have closed vendor work from PO through delivery, not only tracked it on a list
Ability to provide clear status updates in writing, such as telllng a director what is late and why in a short note
Enough CAD and drawing literacy to follow the design even if you are not the designer
First-principles on schedules. You will push back when a plan assumes something that is not true
