Job Title: Technical Project Coordinator (Logistics & Automation)/ Industrial Engineer
Role Overview
This role manages the simultaneous deployment of ceiling-mounted Bluetooth tracking hardware across mail processing facilities. You will coordinate data, power, and physical mapping logistics, perform onsite validation, and lead Component Acceptance Testing (CAT) without performing physical installations.
Key Information- Initial Duration: 3 to 6 months with high potential for long-term extension.
- Location Requirement: Primary resource must sit onsite in Merrifield, VA; supporting roles may be remote.
- Travel: Required for onsite deployment validation and testing.
- Headcount: 3 immediate openings.
Key Responsibilities- Project Coordination: Synchronize multiple concurrent hardware installation schedules across various processing plants.
- Technical Mapping: Coordinate data connections, power distribution, and spatial mapping for ceiling-mounted hub networks.
- Quality Assurance: Travel to facility sites to validate installations and execute Component Acceptance Testing (CAT).
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary technical liaison between corporate visibility initiatives and facility leadership.
- Process Optimization: Apply Industrial Engineering principles to ensure efficient deployment workflows and minimal operational disruption.
Qualifications & Skills- Clearance: Existing active security clearance of any kind is highly preferred (to expedite onboarding and facility access). Inactive or no clearance is acceptable, but must be able to be adjudicated for a sensitive clearance (drug screening and fingerprinting required).
- Experience: Strong background in IT/Engineering (industrial preferred) combined with technical deployment coordination.
- Tech Deployment: Experience managing hardware installations (e.g., network hubs, sensors, IoT devices) rather than general building construction.
- Industry Knowledge: Prior familiarity with postal operations, logistics systems, or mail processing equipment is highly preferred.
- Capability: Proven ability to manage multi-site technical projects simultaneously under tight corporate deadlines.
Education- Education Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.
- Minimum Education Required: Bachelor’s degree or specialized relevant experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
- Required Software Skills: Advanced skills in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint.
- Required Functional Skills: Project management proficiency.
