The TPM will work closely with internal cross-functional teams, including uLED, silicon, test, packaging, product engineering, and sourcing, as well as external foundry and silicon vendor partners. This role will translate high-level vendor milestones into detailed task-level schedules, track cross-functional dependencies, facilitate two-way and three-way communication, and ensure key decisions and actions are communicated to all impacted teams.

The ideal candidate has strong experience managing complex hardware or silicon programs, excellent cross-functional communication skills, and the ability to bring structure and accountability to ambiguous, fast-paced environments.

<.> Responsibilities

Internal Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Lead recurring meetings and program reviews across uLED, test, packaging, sourcing, and engineering teams.

  • Track decisions, dependencies, risks, and action items.

  • Identify and resolve execution gaps before they require escalation.

  • Ensure stakeholders remain aligned on milestones, priorities, and deliverables.

External Vendor Interface Management

  • Lead recurring meetings and program reviews with external foundry and silicon vendor partners.

  • Facilitate joint working sessions, milestone reviews, and face-to-face meetings.

  • Drive vendors to execute against defined technical and program requirements.

  • Maintain integrated program schedules connecting internal milestones with vendor commitments.

  • Identify schedule or execution misalignment early and drive corrective actions.

Program Tracking and Reporting

  • Maintain authoritative program trackers across internal and external workstreams.

  • Track milestones, deliverables, dependencies, owners, and due dates.

  • Prepare milestone status reports, executive readouts, and decision items for engineering leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Provide clear visibility into program progress, blockers, and upcoming milestones.

Risk Management

  • Maintain a comprehensive risk register covering technical execution, vendor delivery, IP/confidentiality, and schedule risks.

  • Develop and track mitigation plans with clearly assigned owners and resolution dates.

  • Escalate critical risks appropriately and provide concise risk summaries for leadership reviews.

<.> Minimum Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager or equivalent project/program management experience in a hardware or silicon development environment.

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate execution across multiple engineering teams, such as silicon, hardware, test, packaging, and product engineering.

  • Experience translating high-level commitments into actionable schedules with defined owners, milestones, and dates.

  • Experience working with external vendors, contract manufacturers, foundries, or silicon partners.

  • Experience supporting hardware development phases such as prototype, qualification, and mass production.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting program status, risks, and decisions to engineering and cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive decisions using incomplete or evolving information.

  • Demonstrated ability to follow through on action items and drive accountability across multiple stakeholders.

  • Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-paced environments with shifting requirements and tight launch timelines.

<.> Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting semiconductor programs across foundry, OSAT, or silicon vendor interfaces.

  • Familiarity with display silicon, uLED, or related electro-optical technologies.

  • Experience managing programs involving multiple external vendors.

  • Experience working across time zones with international foundry, OSAT, or vendor partners.

  • Working knowledge of program tracking and milestone reporting tools such as Smartsheet or Jira.

  • Experience translating engineering status and risk into concise briefings for sourcing and engineering leadership.

  • Experience supporting consumer device programs from prototype validation through mass production.

<.> Top 3 Must-Have Hard Skills
  1. 8+ years of technical program/project management experience in hardware or silicon development.

  2. Cross-functional hardware/silicon program execution, including coordination across silicon, hardware, test, packaging, and related engineering teams.

  3. External vendor/foundry management, including integrated schedules, milestones, dependencies, risks, and deliverables.
