About the Role: As the Sr. Technical Program Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and driving programs both internally and externally with strategic customers of TDK-InvenSense for our state-of-the-art MEMS motion sensor products. You are hands-on, versatile, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Your work will focus on driving worldwide technical teams to deliver timely results and interfacing directly with key strategic customer accounts. You will provide guidance to internal teams to ensure customer expectations are met and, at times, appropriately managed.
You will be part of the Motion Business Unit Program Management team and work closely with other program managers to implement the PMO strategy. The PMO team ensures efficient program execution across all programs in the business unit.
Responsibilities:
- Cross-Functional Team Coordination: Successfully drive cross-functional engineering teams to formulate execution plans and drive successful results on schedule. Must be highly organized, employ effective strategies and tactics to drive engineering milestones, and possess the analytical skills to review customer-facing technical materials.
- Understand the Voice of the Customer: Directly interface with strategic customers to understand, align, and manage their expectations and requirements. Identify and mobilize TDK-InvenSense expert resources required to deliver on customer requirements and meet milestone deadlines.
- Deliver Customer Results: Champion program execution by rallying engineering teams to consistently deliver high-quality, on-time customer deliverables that meet or exceed technical and schedule expectations.
- Communication and Reporting: Provide regular updates to executive management on program status, risks, and gaps. Proactively propose potential solutions to bring programs back on track when needed. Maintain clear and effective communication across both internal and customer-facing engineering teams.
Requirements and Skills:
- MEMS Expertise: Expertise with MEMS motion sensors (e.g., accelerometers, gyroscopes, IMUs) is required; familiarity with other MEMS sensors (e.g., barometers, microphones) is a plus.
- Proven PM Experience: Prior hands-on experience in a project or program manager role, or previous experience in product development roles such as product engineering, test engineering, or applications engineering.
- Lifecycle Knowledge: Excellent understanding of semiconductor/sensor product development stages (NPI) and the roles and responsibilities of each development team.
- Strategic Communication: Excellent communication skills with strategic customers and key accounts, with a proven ability to articulate company commitments, manage expectations, and balance available resources.
- Milestone Planning: Proven track record of breaking down complex, long-term activities into intermediary delivery milestones to track engineering progress and provide regular updates to customers and internal leadership.
- Collaboration: Proven ability to collaborate, work cross-functionally, and gain buy-in to generate results and meet business unit objectives.
- Soft Skills: Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills to effectively communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Education: Relevant work experience with a BSEE; higher degrees (MSEE, MBA, or equivalent) are a plus. 5+ years of experience.

The starting annual base pay for this role ranges between USD $140,000.00 and $180,000.00. The actual base pay is dependent on various factors, including training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market conditions. This range is subject to change and may be adjusted in the future.
This position is open to candidates based in San Jose, CA with a hybrid work requirement (on-site presence required). The role is also eligible for variable bonus programs and benefits.
