We are seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager to own the PM & Asset Lifecycle domain within Tesla's Industrial Storage Operational Excellence (OPX) team. In this role, you will be the end-to-end owner of preventive maintenance operations, asset data integrity, and PM compliance across Tesla's commercial-scale energy storage fleet.
You will manage all three initiative types within your domain - reactive work (Change Control such as PM data corrections and process fixes), proactive work (New Product Launch such as MP2XL PM cutovers and new site PM campaign setups), and measurement-driven work (Metrics-Driven Improvement such as PM compliance rate analysis and contractual adherence tracking).
You will drive initiatives through the IS OPX Initiative Lifecycle - from Intake through Scope, Execute, and Deploy.
Own the PM & Asset Lifecycle domain end-to-end: preventive maintenance operations, reporting, compliance, operating year tracking, billing tool discrepancies, and equipment-level warranty improvements
Drive initiatives through the IS OPX Initiative Lifecycle (Intake, Scope, Execute, Deploy), defining adoption, success and measurement criteria
Define business requirements and success criteria for PM Tracker logic fixes and data quality improvements, partnering to scope technical requirements and manage the engineering relationship
Manage site data accuracy in Installbase (equipment records, commissioning dates) and ensure scopes of work align with contractual obligations and Tesla standards
Revise and maintain PM process documentation to reflect current field practices, regulatory requirements, and lessons learned from adoption verification data
Participate in triage, scoring with WSJF-lite, and contributing field insights to the Feedback Loop and monthly Business Metrics report out
Manage relationships with cross-functional teams including Data & Software Engineering, BOPS, Asset Management, and customer-facing teams to ensure effective collaboration across the initiative lifecycle
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or equivalent work experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management, operations, or maintenance management with a focus on large-scale energy, power generation, or industrial asset management
Strong understanding of preventive maintenance programs, asset lifecycle management, and compliance reporting for commercial-scale facilities
Experience with CMMS platforms, asset tracking systems, and data quality management
Proven ability to define business requirements for software tools and collaborate with engineering teams to deliver data-driven solutions
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify systemic data quality issues and drive root-cause corrections
Familiarity with JIRA or similar project management tools for backlog management and prioritization
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate technical information for non-technical stakeholders and coordinate across field operations, engineering, and business teams
