Tesla's Drive Inverter team is looking for a highly motivated Technical Program Manager to lead new and existing engineering projects for advanced Drive Inverter technologies in our vehicles. This is a cross-functional role that requires coordination between many different groups within and outside of Tesla, with a strong emphasis on electrical system design and program management for complicated electrical and mechanical integrated components.
You will be immersed in the design engineering process and will shepherd projects from concept through prototype validation and production ramp, including aspects of PCBA design and manufacture. You will leverage your engineering background to understand product requirements, technical risks in inverter design, and validation strategies to accelerate development. You will communicate and present project status, highlight schedule risks, and develop recovery plans in the event of slips. On a daily basis, you will interface with cross-functional teams-including design, manufacturing, compliance, system test, reliability, supply chain, and operations-to define and drive development of new Drive Inverter programs, while managing changes in existing ones.
As a Technical Program Manager, you will operate with a high degree of autonomy on your programs while contributing to the development of tools and processes that improve the organization's productivity. You will be based out of our primary facilities with the expectation of some travel to Gigafactories or vendor sites.
