Overview

LABUR is partnering with a client to find a Technical Program Manager to play a critical role in driving high priority data programs. This role primarily supports data engineering initiatives with a strong focus on the Customer Data Platform and complex data migrations, while occasionally contributing to non-data projects as business needs arise.

The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, wears many hats, and actively dives in wherever needed - from shaping documentation and requirements to organizing sprint workflows to facilitating executive-level conversations. This is a hands-on delivery role requiring strong technical fluency, exceptional communication skills, and end-to-end ownership of complex programs.

Responsibilities

  • Drive end-to-end delivery of complex data programs, with primary focus on CDP initiatives - from planning and prioritization through execution, launch, and business impact reviews
  • Operate as the main coordination point across business stakeholders, technical owners, CDP and data engineering teams, and data leadership to close gaps, resolve dependencies, and maintain alignment
  • Lead quarterly planning activities, maintain prioritization frameworks and scorecards, and support roadmap and sequencing decisions
  • Create and maintain high-quality documentation including requirements, milestone plans, dependency maps, technical diagrams, and architecture overviews to drive project clarity
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to turn technical requirements into well-structured Jira epics and user stories; support sprint planning, backlog grooming, and delivery rituals to keep teams organized and focused on outcomes
  • Spearhead User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including planning, execution, stakeholder coordination, issue tracking, and sign-off
  • Communicate progress, risks, trade-offs, and recommendations in stakeholder and leadership forums; own SteerCo operations end-to-end, including building executive-level materials, facilitating sessions, and driving follow-ups

Qualifications

  • 6-8+ years of experience as a Technical Project Manager or Technical Program Manager delivering complex, cross-functional initiatives, ideally in data engineering, platform, or large-scale technical programs
  • Proven experience leading data engineering, platform, or large scale technical programs; strong understanding of the full project delivery lifecycle from planning through post-delivery review
  • High technical fluency and comfort collaborating with engineers on requirements, architecture, dependencies, and delivery trade-offs
  • Proven ability to create clear documentation - including requirements, process flows, diagrams, and architecture maps - and translate business and technical needs into actionable Jira epics and user stories across multiple concurrent workstreams
  • Exceptional communication and facilitation skills across sprint planning, discovery, UAT, stakeholder sessions, and executive reviews, with comfort presenting to and influencing senior leaders
  • Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable operating in ambiguity; experienced in managing risks, driving accountability, and maintaining momentum in technology-driven environments with distributed teams

Compensation
