We are seeking a Technical Program Manager to own the Change Adoption & Sustainment domain within Tesla's Industrial Storage Operational Excellence (OPX) team. In this role, you will be the end-to-end owner of verifying that changes deployed by the IS OPX team actually land in the field, are sustained over time, and produce the outcomes they were designed to achieve.
You will manage all three initiative types within your domain - reactive work (adoption failure remediation and drift corrections), proactive work (change readiness assessments and post-launch verification plans), and measurement-driven work (sustained adoption rate analysis and outcome validation).
While the other cross functional teams design, build, and roll out changes - you verify those changes landed, are being followed, and actually worked. When changes don't stick, you own the remediation. You are the person who closes the loop between "we deployed it" and "it's actually working."
Own the Change Adoption & Sustainment domain end-to-end: rollout completion verification, field adoption audits, outcome validation, change sustainment tracking, adoption remediation, change readiness assessments, and sustainment dashboards and reporting across all IS domains
Own Stages 5-6 (Verify and Sustain) of the IS OPX Initiative Lifecycle for all changes deployed by the other five domains, picking up at the Deploy Verify handoff phase from other domains
Verify rollout completion across all sites and regions, conduct field adoption audits at 30/60/90 day checkpoints, and close the outcome validation loop by tracking whether deployed changes actually moved the KPIs they were designed to move
Monitor for drift and regression - proactively identifying when previously adopted changes begin to erode over time, before they show up as metric misses on the Commercial Service Scorecard
Own adoption remediation when changes don't stick: drive corrective actions including retraining coordination, process reinforcement with Field Management, re-rollout with the originating domain owner, or escalation
Build and maintain the sustainment dashboard - a consolidated view of change adoption health across all IS domains - and present it bi-weekly in the Change Adoption Review meeting
Participate in triage for adoption failure tickets, scoring with WSJF-lite, and contributing adoption data to the Feedback Loop and monthly Business Metrics report out
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or equivalent work experience
5+ years in change management, program management, or operational excellence in energy, utilities, fieldservice, or large-scale industrial environments
Proven experience designing and executing change adoption frameworks, including adoption criteria,post-deployment verification, and remediation when changes don't land
Strong understanding of field service operations and what it takes to sustain process changes across adistributed field workforce
Experience building adoption and compliance dashboards in Power BI, Tableau, Splunk, or similar tools
Familiarity with change management methodologies (Prosci, ADKAR, or similar) applied to operational/field environments - not just IT change management
Strong analytical skills to design verification criteria, interpret adoption data, spot non-compliance or drift, and drive data-informed remediation
Experience coordinating cross-functional remediation with training teams, field management, and program owners
Familiarity with JIRA or similar tools for backlog management and prioritization
Excellent communication and a solutions-driven mindset - able to deliver adoption findings to domain owners with credibility and constructive framing, then close the loop to drive sustained, measurable behavior change
