The Technical Product Specialist (TPS) is a customer-focused role that blends technical expertise with needs-based sales. TPS team members engage with customers primarily over the phone, but also in person when needed, to guide product decisions, answer technical and product support inquiries, and recommend suppressors, accessories, and services that best fit their needs. This role emphasizes consultative selling-helping customers make confident purchase decisions while building trust through knowledge, clear communication, and outstanding service. Job Responsibilities & Essential Functions: - Customer Engagement through Sales and Service:
- Take inbound sales and technical calls, actively listening to understand customer needs.
- Provide tailored product recommendations that solve customer problems and align with their intended use.
- Guide customers through suppressor selection, accessories, and services with a consultative, needs-based approach.
- Meet or exceed sales targets while maintaining a customer-first mindset.
- Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities that enhance customer experience and satisfaction.
- Technical Product Support
- Provide expert advice on suppressor specifications, compatibility, and performance.
- Support customers with technical aspects of installation, use, and maintenance.
- Communicate complex technical information clearly and confidently, positioning Silencer Central as the trusted expert.
- Address Barrel Threading Inquiries:
- Answer questions related to barrel threading services, including compatibility and technical specifications.
- Offer guidance on barrel threading options based on customer firearm specifications and needs.
- Coordinate with the barrel threading service team to ensure accurate and timely service.
- Process Warranty Claims:
- Manage and process warranty claims, ensuring a smooth experience for the customer.
- Evaluate warranty issues to determine eligibility and appropriate resolution.
- Work with the warranty service team to facilitate repairs, replacements, or other solutions.
