Your Role

Akkodis is seeking a Technical Product Project Manager for a Contract with a client in Dearborn, MI. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing the product backlog, driving execution planning, and ensuring alignment between engineering teams, product stakeholders, and customers to deliver business value.

Rate Range: $55/hour to $65/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Technical Product Project Manager Job Responsibilities include:

  • Own and manage the Jira backlog, ensuring stories, tasks, and epics are properly prioritized, groomed, documented, and aligned with business objectives.

  • Facilitate backlog refinement, sprint planning, roadmap reviews, and execution tracking while coordinating with engineering, product, and business stakeholders.

  • Build and maintain Jira dashboards, automations, reports, timelines, and roadmaps to provide visibility into project status, dependencies, risks, and delivery progress.

  • Partner with engineering leaders and product owners to translate strategic initiatives into actionable execution plans, milestones, and deliverables.

  • Serve as a key liaison between customers and internal teams by gathering feedback, communicating product updates, and managing stakeholder expectations.

  • Prepare status reports, release communications, and leadership updates while proactively identifying blockers, risks, and opportunities to improve delivery effectiveness and team productivity.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.

  • 4+ years of experience in Project Coordination, Program Management, Product Operations, Technical Program Management, or Agile Delivery environments.

  • Strong hands-on experience with Jira administration, backlog management, Agile planning, roadmap tracking, Jira Automation, JQL, dashboards, reporting, and stakeholder communication.

  • Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams, manage product execution plans, identify risks and dependencies, maintain delivery roadmaps, and effectively communicate with leadership, engineering teams, and external customers.

Pay Details: $55.00 to $65.00 per hour
