    What You'll Do

    As a Technical Product Manager, you will build, launch, and continuously improve products and features that create value for customers, candidates, and First Advantage. You will lead strategic initiatives across the full product lifecycle, including vision, roadmap planning, requirements, user stories, development, testing, integrations with First Advantage or partner systems, deployment, adoption, client satisfaction, and continuous improvement. This role combines a customer and market focus with the technical product management capabilities needed to deliver scalable, reusable solutions.

    What You'll Do 

    Serve as a key member of the Vertical Solutions team, working at the intersection of industry solutioning, implementation, and product strategy. Partner directly with customers and internal stakeholders across key industries to translate vertical-specific needs into scalable product strategies, requirements, and delivery plans. Collaborate with Development and cross-functional teams to build, integrate, and enhance assigned products using Agile methods, with a focus on improving client experience, scalability, reusability, repeatability, and growth. 

    • Own product planning, roadmap execution, development, launch, adoption, and lifecycle management for assigned vertical solutions, products, and capabilities. 

    • Work closely with Product and Vertical Solutions leadership to plan, coordinate, and deliver roadmap priorities aligned to industry needs and business milestones. 

    • Manage and prioritize the product backlog; define epics, themes, features, and user stories that translate vertical-specific customer needs into clear acceptance criteria. 

    • Partner with Engineering, Architecture, QA, Scrum Masters, Sales, Customer Success, Solutions, and other Agile delivery roles to coordinate execution for new vertical solutions, enhancements, and integrations. 

    • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to translate industry, customer, and business requirements into clear functional and technical requirements. 

    • Validate specifications with stakeholders to confirm alignment with articulated requirements and intended outcomes. 

    • Guide seamless, scalable integrations with First Advantage and partner systems, emphasizing reusable and repeatable product capabilities. 

    • Contribute to technical solution discussions that support vertical outcomes, including API design, SQL-based analysis, automation opportunities, system integrations, and event-driven architecture concepts where applicable. 

    • Document new features and communicate workflows, functionality, release impacts, and value to end users, go-to-market teams, and vertical stakeholders. 

    • Measure and analyze product performance, usage, client feedback, usability research, and market insights to identify opportunities to innovate and improve. 

    • Explore, evaluate, recommend, and apply appropriate technologies and approaches that support vertical solution outcomes and scalable product growth. 

    • Create clear documentation for complex assignments to support knowledge transfer and build expertise across teams. 

    • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, solution experts, technical experts, and partners across functions and geographies to present and position current and future vertical solution offerings. 

    • Provide product leadership aligned to North American market needs and support growth of the assigned vertical solutions portfolio. 

    What You May Need to Be Successful 

    • Bachelor's degree in a business, technology, industry-focused, or related field, or equivalent practical experience. 

    • 6+ years of experience in Product Management, Technical Product Management, or a related role, including hands-on Agile product and software development experience. 

    • Practical experience managing product backlogs and translating business, customer, and industry needs into epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria. 

    • Strong technical fluency and the ability to engage credibly with developers, architects, quality teams, and other technical stakeholders. 

    • Familiarity with product and software development tools and methodologies, including Jira, DevOps tools, and Agile delivery practices. 

    • Strong listening, discovery, and question-based knowledge-gathering skills. 

    • Ability to synthesize quantitative and qualitative data from multiple sources, identify issues, draw conclusions, and recommend solutions. 

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present product designs, workflows, functionality, tradeoffs, and vertical solution value to internal and external stakeholders. 

    • Proven ability to self-manage, organize, prioritize, and drive results in a cross-functional, customer-facing environment. 

    • A user-centered and industry-aware mindset with a commitment to building secure, scalable, reusable, and intuitive product experiences. 

    Preferred Qualifications 

    • Experience with industry-specific products, customers, background screening, identity verification, or other regulated and data-sensitive solutions. 

    • Experience with APIs, SQL queries, automation, system integrations, or large-scale event-driven architectures that support configurable and reusable customer solutions. 

    • Demonstrated ability to create value through enterprise technology, data, integration, and application architecture principles that can be applied across industries and customer segments. 

    • Experience in a global or public-company environment. 

    • Curiosity, sound judgment, and willingness to experiment, iterate, and learn quickly.

    The salary range for this position is approximately $125,000 - 170,000 base annually. This range reflects our good faith estimate to pay fairly as to what our ideal candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on the selected candidate’s experience, industry knowledge, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the interview process
