Description
Chainbridge Solutions is seeking a Technical Product Manager to lead the product direction and technical delivery of our Perseus application and related federal software products. This is a hands-on, technical role: the Technical Product Manager owns the product roadmap and requirements while directly supervising a team of developers and QA/test engineers and is expected to engage credibly in cloud-native architecture, DevOps, and deployment discussions. The Technical Product Manager will work closely with the CTO, Sr. Application Architect, engineers, operations leaders, and federal customer stakeholders to deliver secure, compliant, mission-ready software. The position will be on-site 3 days a week in our office in Fairfax, Virginia.
Key Responsibilities
Own and evolve the product roadmap for Perseus in partnership with the CTO, sales, and operations stakeholders
Translate customer and mission requirements into clear, technically sound product and engineering requirements
Evaluate technical trade-offs related to architecture, design, or AI feature integration and make or recommend informed decisions
Manage our SDLC process in compliance with NIST 800-218 and identify potential improvements and efficiencies using automation and approved AI tools.
Maintain working knowledge of the platform's AWS-based architecture (serverless/microservices patterns, CI/CD pipelines, GovCloud deployment models) sufficient to engage credibly in design discussions
Directly supervise a team of software developers and QA/test engineers, including performance management, coaching, and career development. Offer clear direction, coaching, and feedback when needed.
Set and enforce engineering quality standards in partnership with technical leads (code quality, test coverage, deployment readiness)
Support hiring, onboarding, and capacity planning for the development and test team
Foster a DevOps culture — continuous integration, automated testing, and reliable, repeatable deployments
Partner with engineering leads to plan and sequence work, balancing new feature development, technical debt, and compliance obligations
Foster a commercial product culture focused on customer value, market needs, quality, and long-term product success.
Ensure features are delivered consistent with FedRAMP/NIST security and change-management requirements
Represent the product and engineering team in customer demos, proposal support, and technical discussions with federal agency stakeholders
Balance customer commitments with building a scalable, maintainable product for the broader market
Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields
7+ years of experience in a technical role (software engineering, DevOps, solutions architecture) with 2+ years in a product management or technical leadership capacity
Demonstrated understanding of cloud-native (AWS) application design and deployment: microservices, serverless (Lambda, Fargate), containerization, and infrastructure-as-code
Working knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD practices — automated build/test/deploy pipelines, version control workflows, and release management
Two years prior experience directly managing or leading developers and/or QA engineers
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical federal stakeholders
U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or security clearance as required by contract
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with U.S. Federal software delivery, including FedRAMP, NIST 800-53/800-171, or CMMC compliance environments
Hands-on experience with AWS GovCloud, AWS CDK or Terraform, Bitbucket Pipelines or equivalent CI/CD tooling
Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows, or product experience integrating AI/ML features (search, summarization, chat) into SaaS applications
