Description

Technical Product Manager (Founding Hire)

Position Summary
Employment Type: Full-time
Location: Remote, United States (with occasional travel)
Compensation: 120-150k Base + Benefits +

Our client is an early-stage, fast-moving technology startup dedicated to eliminating administrative burden and manual data entry in the senior care and healthcare operations space. By transforming unstructured data (faxes, PDFs, emails, and scans) into clean, structured records that integrate seamlessly with legacy Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, they bring intelligent automation to an industry ripe for innovation.

They are seeking their first internal Technical Product Manager (TPM) to own the integration roadmap and bridge the gap between customer needs in the field, core engineering, and external EHR platform partners. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role for a builder who thrives in ambiguity and wants to establish product processes from the ground up rather than stepping into an established playbook.

Key Responsibilities
  • Integration Roadmap & Architecture: Serve as the primary technical product owner for third-party EHR integrations. Troubleshoot data-flow issues, scope new integration requests, and master the system architecture to speak credibly with both customers and engineers.
  • Requirements & Delivery: Act as the strategic liaison between external users and the engineering team. Translate real-world customer workflows, integration constraints, and bug reports into clear, detailed technical requirements and user stories.
  • Onboarding & Implementation Strategy: Manage and optimize the technical onboarding and deployment lifecycle for new customers and complex integrations from first kickoff to a live, trusted deployment.
  • User Feedback & Pattern Recognition: Capture granular customer feedback, identify behavioral and technical patterns, and turn those insights into prioritized product backlog initiatives.
  • Process Scale: Build the internal documentation, product frameworks, and scalable playbooks required to support rapid customer expansion.
  • Stakeholder Management: Keep customers and partner ecosystems informed on roadmap timelines, product fixes, and release schedules.

Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in Technical Product Management, Solutions Engineering, Technical Account Management, or Implementation Engineering—ideally within an early-stage or high-growth startup environment.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Technical Fluency: Working knowledge of APIs, webhooks, and modern data-integration concepts with a proven ability to independently troubleshoot data flows.
  • Data Fluency: High comfort reading and reasoning about structured data types (JSON, XML, CSV) and the ability to write queries (e.g., SQL) to diagnose technical issues.
  • Project & Implementation Ownership: Strong background managing end-to-end technical onboarding, platform deployments, and launch lifecycles.
  • Communication & Ambiguity: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a knack for translating complex technical concepts to non-technical users. Highly self-directed and comfortable building structure where none exists.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Domain Expertise: Prior product experience in Healthcare Tech, digital health, or another highly regulated industry, including working knowledge of regulatory compliance.
  • EHR Familiarity: Familiarity with industry-specific EHR platforms (such as PointClickCare, MatrixCare, Yardi, or similar enterprise record systems).
  • Interoperability Standards: Exposure to healthcare data compliance and interoperability standards (such as HIPAA, HL7, and FHIR).
  • Tooling: Experience utilizing product, support, and CRM ecosystems (such as Jira, HubSpot, Salesforce, or Zendesk).

What Is Offered
  • Competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package and equity opportunities
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
  • Flexible Paid Time Off (PTO).
  • Home office and remote equipment stipend.
  • The rare opportunity to shape a foundational product function from scratch in a high-impact, mission-driven market.
