Job Description:
Technical Product Manager
Large Banking Client
3x/week onsite in Atlanta, GA
W2 contract through EOY
Position Requirements:
Technical Product Management background (8+ years of experience)
Roadmap ownership
Governance strategy
Product-focused on Data Governance or Data Platform initiatives
Hands-on experience with Collibra (or comparable data governance platform)
Strong Databricks Unity Catalog experience
Cloud experience - AWS, Azure, GCP
Advanced SQL skills
Troubleshooting, data validation
Experience with ETL/ELT platforms, such as - Apache Spark, dbt, Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, Apache Airflow
Strong understanding of data governance concepts
Metadata management, data lineage, access controls, data quality
Agile product delivery
Understanding of AI/ML concepts applied to governance use cases
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills

Position Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Roadmap
Own the end-to-end roadmap for the enterprise Data Governance Platform
Prioritize features supporting metadata management, lineage, access control, data quality, and policy automation
Translate business needs into product capabilities that deliver measurable value
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
Serve as liaison between business stakeholders, compliance teams, and engineering teams
Present adoption metrics, platform capabilities, and strategic initiatives to leadership
Facilitate discovery workshops and governance requirement gathering sessions
Technical Requirements & Delivery
Convert business requirements into epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria
Collaborate with architects and engineers to assess feasibility and solution design
Support delivery through sprint planning, backlog grooming, PRD reviews, and stakeholder alignment
Data Governance Platform Operations
Own intake, prioritization, and execution of governance platform requests
Drive adoption and enhancement of Collibra
Manage Databricks Unity Catalog governance strategy including tagging, security, and sharing policies
Align governance strategies across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments
AI-Driven Governance
Integrate AI/ML capabilities including metadata enrichment, automated classification, and lineage detection
Evaluate governance AI platforms such as Azure AI Foundry, Amazon Bedrock, and Databricks AI
Support responsible AI and AI governance initiatives
SQL, ETL & Pipeline Governance
Analyze data quality issues and investigate data pipeline failures using SQL
Work with ETL and ELT technologies including Spark, dbt, ADF, Airflow, and related platforms
Define and enforce data contracts, SLAs, and quality controls
