• Pay Rate: $35.00 $38.00 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: 6:00 AM 2:30 PM PST
• Travel Requirements: Local candidates only

TRD is looking for a highly motivated Technician, Manual Machine Shop. Key Responsibilities

• Review drawings or instructions to understand specifications of output.
• Plan the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job in liaison with the facility planners.
• Take measurements and mark material for cutting or shaping.
• Select appropriate machines (e.g. lathes, Mill, grinder etc.) and position or load material for a job.
• Select tools and cutting conditions. Generate and maintain programs.
• Define and manufacture tooling fixture/JIG required to manufacture the parts.
• Check output to ensure consistency with specifications. Request confirmation from QC.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and repair minor damages or solicit intervention from the maintenance department.
• Operate the machines safely.

Required Skills

• Must be able to read blueprints and work instructions in English.
• Must have the knowledge of and be able to use all measuring devices to ensure the quality of the manufactured components.

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Bachelor's degree (nice to have).

Required Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a manual machine shop or tool room department, or preferred experience as described below.

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

• Standing Frequent/Intermittent, up to 8 hours per day.
• Walking Occasionally/Intermittent, up to 8 hours per day.
• Sitting Occasionally/Intermittent.
• Lifting Up to 50 lbs., Occasionally/Intermittent.
• Carrying Up to 50 lbs., Occasionally/Intermittent.
• Pushing/Pulling Between 50 100 lbs., Occasionally/Intermittent.
