Your Role

Akkodis is seeking a Technical Manager/SRE Senior Lead for a Contract with a client in Phoenix, AZ. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and Production Support operations, ensuring platform stability, service availability, and effective incident management across enterprise environments.

Rate Range: $44/hour to $46/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Technical Manager/SRE Senior Lead Job Responsibilities include:

  • Lead and manage Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and Production Support teams to ensure high system availability, reliability, and adherence to service level objectives (SLOs).

  • Coordinate and drive incident management activities, including bridge calls, escalations, root cause analysis (RCA), and timely resolution of critical production issues.

  • Monitor platform health, service performance, and operational metrics to identify opportunities for reliability improvements, enhanced observability, and operational efficiency.

  • Prepare and maintain operational reports, dashboards, trend analyses, service availability metrics, and stakeholder communications to support governance and decision-making.

  • Drive continuous service improvement initiatives by analyzing recurring incidents, implementing preventive actions, and improving support processes in alignment with ITSM and SRE best practices.

  • Plan, coordinate, and facilitate Disaster Recovery (DR) exercises, ensuring operational readiness, documentation accuracy, and successful recovery validation across business-critical platforms.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field. ITIL, SRE, or relevant cloud/platform certifications are preferred.

  • 10+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Production Support, IT Operations, Incident Management, or Infrastructure Support, including leadership experience managing enterprise support teams.

  • Strong expertise in SRE and ITSM processes, incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), service reliability, platform monitoring, operational reporting, and production support governance.

  • Proven experience leading critical incident response, disaster recovery (DR) planning and execution, stakeholder management, service improvement initiatives, and driving reliability, availability, and observability across large-scale enterprise platforms.

Pay Details: $44.00 to $46.00 per hour
