We are seeking a Technical Lead to own the technical success of assigned customers and jurisdictions in Illinois. This role serves as the technical counterpart to the Customer Success Manager, leading complex technical support, election programming guidance, system testing, implementation planning, customer training, and jurisdiction-specific requirements. The Technical Lead also partners with Election Production & Testing, Engineering, Sales, and Certification teams to translate customer and regulatory needs into reliable technical solutions.

*What you will do:*
* Own the technical relationship for assigned customers and serve as the primary point of contact for technical questions, issue resolution, and project scoping.
* Learn and maintain working knowledge of Illinois election laws, regulations, processes, certified software and firmware versions, system configurations, server and client equipment, tabulation equipment, and customer product environments.
* Develop high-level technical and operational expertise to diagnose complex customer issues, identify preventive measures, and escalate appropriately when additional expertise is required.
* Support election programming activities, including jurisdictional rules and processes, election project coordination, template projects, ballot programming guidance, and test deck recommendations or support.
* Direct jurisdiction-specific full-system election simulations, document gaps, define requirements, and support user acceptance testing strategy and planning.
* Document hardware and software anomalies, communicate findings clearly, and partner across teams to drive practical solutions from both technical and business perspectives.
* Provide jurisdictional guidance to Engineering, participate in testing current or new functionality, and support product development with customer feedback and market requirements.
* Support state certification efforts by identifying functional and legal technical requirements and participating in requirements definition, preparation, testing, and certification activities as needed.
* Plan and support system implementations, upgrades, equipment delivery, acceptance testing, preventive maintenance, normal maintenance, and election-day readiness.
* Conduct customer and staff training on election products, testing, programming, and election-day support procedures.
* Partner with Sales on technical responses, project scoping, RFP support, demonstrations, and fulfillment activities when needed.
* Adapt to changing priorities, competing demands, tight timelines, and unexpected events while maintaining a professional, customer-focused approach.
