    Program Manager Technology Transformation

    Location: Hybrid Greater Chicago Area
    Duration: 12 months (extension likely)
    Engagement: Contract / Contract-to-Hire

    A Fortune 1000 organization is modernizing its technology portfolio to unify client platforms, accelerate onboarding, and strengthen governance across IT, Product, and Operations. Were seeking a hands-on Program Manager to oversee large-scale, cross-functional initiatives spanning migrations, integrations, containerization, and AI adoption within a multi-year transformation roadmap.

    This role is ideal for a leader who can operate comfortably at both strategic and tactical levels stabilizing programs during leadership transitions, building delivery discipline, and driving measurable results across multiple business units.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Own delivery of enterprise programs across migrations, onboarding, distributed systems, integrations, and AI pilots.

    • Manage cross-functional dependencies among IT, Product, Operations, and Compliance.

    • Define governance structure, steering cadence, and program KPIs (velocity, cost, quality).

    • Standardize delivery tools, RAID management, and reporting for PMO visibility.

    • Lead vendor coordination, risk mitigation, and executive communication.

    • Mentor project managers and elevate delivery maturity.

    • Partner with senior stakeholders (CTO, CPO, VP IT, VP Ops) to ensure alignment with business goals.

    Qualifications

    • 10+ years managing enterprise-level, multi-stream programs.

    • Demonstrated success delivering IT transformations, ERP/CRM implementations, or cloud migrations.

    • Proven experience managing onshore/offshore hybrid teams.

    • Familiarity with ISO 22301 (continuity) and ISO 27001 (security/governance) frameworks.

    • Strong Agile/Hybrid methodology experience; PMP, PgMP, or SAFe preferred.

    • Excellent executive communication and stakeholder alignment skills.

    • Capable of turning ambiguity into structure and progress.

    • Builds credibility quickly across technical and business teams.

    Success Metrics

    • 95% of programs delivered within schedule and budget variance.

       Salary Package:

      $ 175,000.00 - 190,000.00 (US Dollar)

      Duration: 12+ months with renewal options tied to portfolio phases.
      Location: Hybrid Chicago metro (23 days onsite per week during key delivery cycles).

      Compensation:

      • Contract Rate: $110$135/hour (DOE)
      • Conversion Target: $175K$190K base + performance incentives
