    About the Job

    Venatôre’s Technical Internship Program provides students and emerging technical professionals with meaningful, hands-on experience contributing to real-world technical projects across our organization. Interns are matched with assignments based on their technical skills, academic experience, interests, and current business needs, with potential opportunities in software development, automation, data and analytics, artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML), cybersecurity, cloud technologies, systems engineering, and other technical disciplines.

    The program is structured around 12-week cohorts offered periodically throughout the year. Interns work part-time, up to 20 hours per week, and receive technical mentorship, regular feedback, and opportunities to strengthen their technical, problem-solving, communication, and professional skills. This paid, part-time, non-exempt internship is based in Tampa, FL and follows a primarily remote/hybrid work model, with specific work arrangements determined by project assignment.

Candidates will be reviewed and contacted based on cohort availability, current project needs, technical qualifications, and available internship opportunities.

    Responsibilities

    Technical Project Support

    • Contribute to real-world technical projects supporting Venatôre teams, programs, and internal initiatives.

    • Assist with the design, development, testing, implementation, and improvement of technical solutions.

    • Support software development, scripting, automation, data analysis, cybersecurity, cloud technologies, systems engineering, AI/ML, or related technical activities based on project requirements and individual skill sets.

    • Conduct technical research and evaluate potential tools, technologies, methodologies, and approaches.

    • Troubleshoot technical issues and assist with identifying, evaluating, and implementing solutions.

    • Develop and maintain technical documentation, project materials, reports, presentations, and other assigned deliverables.

    Collaboration & Professional Development

    • Participate in project meetings, technical discussions, demonstrations, and reviews.

    • Collaborate with technical advisors, project leads, mentors, and other Venatôre team members.

    • Participate in regular mentorship sessions and progress check-ins and incorporate feedback into assigned work.

    • Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and complete defined project deliverables within established timelines.

    • Present or demonstrate completed work and project outcomes during or at the conclusion of the internship.

    • Develop practical technical, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and professional skills through hands-on project experience.

    Program & Security Requirements

    • Work part-time for up to 20 hours per week during the 12-week internship cohort, with scheduling coordinated around academic commitments and project requirements.

    • Follow all Venatôre security, confidentiality, information technology, and professional conduct requirements.

    • Perform only authorized unclassified work unless and until any required U.S. government security clearance has been granted.

    • Comply with project-specific work arrangements and security requirements.

    Required Qualifications

    • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, or another closely related technical discipline; equivalent relevant education or experience may also be considered.

    • Foundational knowledge in one or more technical areas, such as programming, scripting, cloud computing, cybersecurity, networking, data analysis, artificial intelligence/machine learning, systems administration, or software development.

    • Demonstrated interest in applying technical knowledge and skills to real-world problems.

    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.

    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a professional environment.

    • Willingness to learn new technologies, receive and incorporate feedback, and take ownership of assigned work.

    • Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible to obtain a U.S. government security clearance.

    • Ability to participate in a 12-week internship program for up to 20 hours per week.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Junior or senior undergraduate academic standing.

    • Previous experience through technical projects, research, coursework, laboratories, hackathons, internships, or related activities.

    • Experience with programming languages, scripting tools, cloud platforms, cybersecurity technologies, data analytics tools, AI/ML technologies, or other technical platforms relevant to Venatôre projects.

    • Demonstrated curiosity, initiative, adaptability, and interest in developing new technical skills.

    • Interest in supporting government, defense, national security, or other mission-focused technical environments.

    • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to balance academic and internship responsibilities.

    • Interest in future internship, part-time, or full-time opportunities with Venatôre.

    Successful completion of the Technical Internship Program may provide consideration for future internships, continued part-time opportunities, or full-time positions based on individual performance, qualifications, clearance status, business needs, and position availability. Participation in the program does not guarantee continued or future employment. Housing and relocation assistance are not provided or required for participation in the program.
