Summary/Objective:  

 As Lippert Technical Instructor, you will be expected to conduct classes in a professional manner, regarding all Lippert RV products. You will be responsible for building and maintaining training aids for existing and new products.  Developing relationships through training with dealers, OEMs, and other Lippert teams.

Essential Functions:

  1. In-depth knowledge and experience in the specific technical area you will be teaching along with ability to read basic electrical and hydraulic schematic.
  2. Provide hands-on training sessions in a lab environment, guiding participants through real-world scenarios and practical applications of the subject matter.
  3. Develop, build, and maintain a variety of training aids that are used for hands-on instruction.
  4. Conduct dealer visits at dealerships across the country, ensuring that they understand the support that Lippert offers and resolve any concerns that may arise during the visit.
  5. Fill out detailed reports regarding dealer visits.
  6. Continuously enhance technical instructional delivery, presentation skills, and technical proficiency.
  7. Stay current with new course material released, take classes as time permits and stay up to date with technical documentation/ videos.
  8. Work successfully in a team environment, including our OEM partners and dealer network.
  9. Maintain a professional demeanor and positive attitude always.

 

Working Conditions:.

  • Primarily working indoors.
  • Time will be split between and office environment and workshop.
  • Repetitive use of hands to operate computers, tools, equipment, printers, and copiers.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of High school degree or GED
  • 1+ years technical experience in the RV, Marine, or Automotive industry.
  • Prior experience in and Ability to utilize a variety of tools, such as a tape measure, multimeter, saws, screw guns, etc. at a basic level.

  2. RV Parts Interpretation: Ability to interpret descriptions of RV parts and equipment and translate them into clear, understandable instructions for the audience.
  3. Technical Aptitude: Demonstrates strong technical skills and a deep understanding of relevant technologies and equipment.
  4. Communication Skills: Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey complex information.
  5. Problem-Solving: Capable of handling complex issues and problems, providing effective and efficient solutions.
  6. Computer Literacy: Basic knowledge and ability to utilize a variety of computer programs to support instructional and operational tasks.
  7. Conflict Resolution: Skilled in resolving conflicts and disputes, ensuring a harmonious and productive work environment.

 

Supervisory Responsibility 

This role does not have any supervisory responsibility upon hiring.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to lift 50lb.

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work 

This is a full-time position, and the expected work hours are 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday; weekend and overnight work is occasionally required. 

 

Travel 

This position requires up to 25% local travel that would occur during the work day.

Preferred Education and Experience

  1. Previous technical experience in the RV Industry or similar field.
  2. Previous experience with training or continued education.
  3. Ability to interpret descriptions of RV parts/ equipment and translate into clear instructions to your audience.
  4. Possess the ability to read basic electrical and hydraulic schematic.
  5. Basic knowledge and ability to utilize a variety of computer programs
