The client is seeking an experienced Technical Implementation Specialist specializing in Microsoft Intune and Enterprise Mobile Device Management (MDM) to support the modernization and management of its mobile device and endpoint environment.
The selected contractor will be responsible for planning, configuring, implementing, and supporting enterprise mobile device management solutions using Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory), and related Microsoft technologies.
This role will focus on secure device enrollment, compliance and conditional access policies, application deployment, endpoint security, and integration with Apple Business Manager and Android Enterprise. The specialist will also support device migration initiatives, troubleshoot technical issues, develop implementation documentation, and provide knowledge transfer to agency IT staff.
The ideal candidate will combine strong hands-on technical expertise with excellent communication and documentation skills to ensure that mobile device management solutions align with state, federal, and agency security requirements.
Plan, configure, implement, and support Microsoft Intune and enterprise endpoint management solutions.
Configure and manage mobile device enrollment, provisioning, compliance policies, and device security settings.
Implement and maintain Conditional Access policies, security baselines, and endpoint protection configurations.
Integrate Apple Business Manager and Apple Device Enrollment Program/Automated Device Enrollment (DEP/ADE) with Microsoft Intune.
Support Android Enterprise integration and enterprise mobile device management.
Manage application deployment, device configuration profiles, and endpoint policy administration.
Support migration from existing mobile device management platforms to Microsoft Intune.
Troubleshoot device enrollment, synchronization, application deployment, and compliance-related issues.
Apply endpoint security best practices and support compliance with applicable state, federal, and agency security standards.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, configuration guides, implementation procedures, and troubleshooting resources.
Provide knowledge transfer, technical guidance, and training to agency IT personnel.
Collaborate with agency stakeholders to recommend improvements to mobile device deployment, endpoint management, and operational processes.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Candidates must clearly demonstrate the following qualifications in their resumes to be considered:
Microsoft Intune and Endpoint Management: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune and endpoint management.
Enterprise MDM Implementation: Experience implementing and supporting mobile device management solutions in enterprise environments.
Microsoft Entra ID: Practical experience with Microsoft Entra ID, formerly Azure Active Directory.
Apple Device Management: Experience with Apple Business Manager and Apple DEP/ADE.
Security and Compliance Policies: Experience configuring Conditional Access, device compliance policies, and endpoint security policies.
Microsoft 365 Administration: Knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration and endpoint security best practices.
Device Enrollment and Policy Management: Experience managing device enrollment, application deployment, configuration, and policy administration.
Technical Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and resolve device enrollment, synchronization, and compliance issues.
Documentation and Knowledge Transfer: Experience documenting technical processes and transferring knowledge to IT staff.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
The following qualifications are desirable but not mandatory:
Experience working with state government, public-sector organizations, or other regulated environments.
Experience migrating from Meraki or other MDM platforms to Microsoft Intune.
Hands-on experience with Windows Autopilot and endpoint provisioning.
Familiarity with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG), Center for Internet Security (CIS) benchmarks, or similar security compliance standards.
Microsoft certifications related to Intune, Azure, or Endpoint Management.
Experience integrating mobile device management solutions with ticketing or IT asset management systems.
Experience using PowerShell scripting for endpoint administration and automation.
