Description

Summary:

Location: Astoria, NY

Duration: 6 Months temp to perm

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine service visits to industrial and commercial customer sites.
  • Monitor and maintain water treatment programs for boilers, cooling towers, closed loops, reverse osmosis (RO), and wastewater systems.
  • Perform water testing and analysis to evaluate treatment performance and system conditions.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to scaling, corrosion, fouling, biological growth, and equipment operation.
  • Adjust and maintain chemical feed systems, pumps, controllers, and monitoring equipment.
  • Inspect water treatment equipment, piping, and related system components.
  • Maintain accurate service reports, water analysis records, and chemical inventory documentation.
  • Provide technical recommendations and communicate findings to customers and internal teams.
  • Support customer training on water treatment practices and safety procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company safety standards.
  • Assist with startup, commissioning, and ongoing optimization of water treatment systems.
  • Support customer audits, site assessments, and compliance reporting activities.
  • Respond to emergency service calls and operational concerns as needed.

Requirements:

  • Experience in industrial/commercial water treatment, field service, HVAC, plumbing, or mechanical maintenance preferred.
  • Knowledge of boiler treatment, cooling tower treatment, closed-loop systems, reverse osmosis systems, and wastewater treatment processes.
  • Ability to perform water testing and interpret analytical results.
  • Familiarity with chemical feed systems, pumps, controllers, and monitoring equipment.
  • Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer sites.
  • Ability to lift chemical containers and work in industrial environments.
