Designers ask questions and listen to their clients. They problem solve, design, engineer, and program systems that meet the unique needs of each church. And they teach novice users how to setup and create excellent, highly engaging Kid’s Ministry, First Impressions, and Production experiences for portable churches.
This have a critical role in presenting the benefits and possibilities of church expansion options and portable church solutions, as well as leading the client to the correct design choices and budget. Technical Designers are technically experienced and knowledgeable in AVL production, especially as it pertains to large churches.
They are confident to command our clients' respect, while also being vulnerable, authentic, and highly relational to gain and sustain client trust.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Perform client discovery, create concept designs, and pitch proposals to clients during both on-site and virtual consultations.
· Design excellent and efficient portable AVL, children’s ministry, and first impression systems that create an impressive but sustainable foundation for the client, while also maintaining profitability targets.
· Provide accurate and detailed design documentation for all systems designed.
· Support the sales team, clients, project managers, projects team, and fulfillment team with AVL design expertise, advice, and clarifying design information.
· Provide ongoing communication with clients and internal teams during fulfillment to ensure every system exceeds all expectations set during consultation and meets industry standard for the delivery experience.
· Perform on-site delivery, training, and commissioning with church leaders and volunteer teams.
· Provide post-system delivery support to the customer service team to promptly resolve all open issues from deliveries.
Additional Responsibilities
· Maintain awareness of industry trends, analyze new products, and develop recommendations for new design elements.
· Help with the expansion and maintenance of the design catalog and stencils.
· Assist in programming and troubleshooting issues in the system design, engineering, and manufacturing processes.
· Participate in regular Design team meetings, events, and industry trade shows.
· Work on special projects and perform other duties assigned by the Director of Design.

· Ability to manage 5-10 projects, with the assistance of other teams, at the same time.
· Drawing experience required (Visio or CAD Experience, preferred)
· CTS or CTS-D certification, preferred
· Dante or CompTIA certification, preferred
· D-Tools SI experience, preferred
· Leadership experience, preferred
Requirements
· 3+ years of experience working in AVL production for a church with one or more locations, and a total attendance of no less than 1000.
· Travel to client locations to conduct consultations and deliveries is a routine part of this role, averaging 2-4 engagements (6-14 days) per month.
