Technical Customer Support Representative
We are seeking candidates with hands-on mechanical or technical experience, an understanding of how equipment functions, and a customer service attitude for a growing manufacturer of commercial kitchen oil management systems in Cuyahoga Falls.
In this position you will deliver post-sale support and technical assistance to customers, ensuring systems operate safely and efficiently. This role is ideal for someone with a strong mechanical aptitude who enjoys troubleshooting equipment and solving mechanical problems.
While this is primarily an office-based customer support role, a strong mechanical background and experience repairing, maintaining, or troubleshooting equipment is essential.
Hours:- 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday - Friday
Pay:- $22.00 $25.00/hour (based on experience)
Key Responsibilities:- Answer incoming customer service and technical support calls.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment issues over the phone.
- Walk customers through diagnostic procedures to identify the root cause of equipment problems.
- Determine whether issues can be resolved remotely or require on-site service.
- Dispatch and coordinate third-party service technicians when repairs are needed.
- Document service calls and maintain accurate records in the service management system.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and parts departments to resolve customer issues efficiently.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining professionalism and a sense of urgency.
Minimum Requirements:- High school diploma or GED
- A strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience working with machinery/equipment
- The ability to understand how equipment functions and confidently guide customers through troubleshooting steps.
- Must have a customer service approach to dealing with problems
