Technical / CAD Designer I

Summary:

• Location: Schenectady, NY
• Duration: 12 Months
• Work Mode: 100% on-site
• Working Hours: 8am - 5pm, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week

Responsibilities:

• Create accurate and detailed models and drawings using Siemens NX CAD software based on provided instructions, sketches, and layouts.
• Work closely with engineers and other team members to produce high-quality models and drawings for various projects.
• Perform model and drawing changes and revisions as directed by engineers or project managers.
• Receive supervision, instruction, and review of work to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Follow modeling and drafting practices and procedures to produce clear and concise consumable models and drawings.
• Communicate effectively with team members to understand project requirements and timelines.

Requirements:

• Associate's Degree in Technology, Drafting, or a related field, or completion of a related vocational-technical high school program.
• Proficiency in a CAD software.
• Basic understanding of drafting practices and procedures, such as Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
