Technical Business Developer

Boundless is coordinating GPU compute at scale and building toward becoming a leader in AI. As a Technical Business Developer, you'll build and sell the platform we're building — but this is not a pure sales role. We're looking for someone who feels the field: someone technical enough to run real discovery, who senses where AI compute demand and trends are heading, and who brings that signal back to shape the product. You'll also own the account-management function end-to-end, making sure our customers are successful and happy long after the deal closes. You've done this before at an AI startup and want to help build the next one .A major part of this role is expanding Boundless's presence within the AI ecosystem. We're looking for someone who is deeply connected to the industry and can leverage an existing network while continuously building new relationships across San Francisco's AI community.

You should be comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy, navigating ambiguity, and defaulting to a strong bias for action.

What You'll Do

Build & Sell the Platform: Own the full BD cycle for Boundless's compute network — prospecting, technical discovery, and closing — with our ideal customers in RL/post-training and batched-inference workloads.

Sense the Field: Track where AI compute demand, pricing, and technical trends are going. Turn that into structured signal for the Technical Product Manager so the roadmap reflects real, emerging needs — not just today's asks.

Own Account Management: Own customer relationships post-sale. Ensure customers are successful, well-supported, and happy, and grow accounts over time. Strong AM instincts are core to this role.

Run Technical Discovery: Understand customer workloads (inference serving, RL training, batched jobs) deeply enough to map them to Boundless capabilities and economics with credibility.

Partner Cross-Functionally: Work closely with the Technical PM, engineering, and marketing to align what we sell, what we build, and how we position it.

Requirements

• BD, sales, or technical account management experience at an AI company — ideally a startup
• Technical fluency in AI infrastructure, compute, and inference — enough to run credible technical discovery with engineers and founders
• Strong account-management track record: customers you've kept happy and grown
• Ability to translate customer and market signal into clear product input
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Comfort navigating ambiguity with a strong bias for action
• 3+ years of experience in the AI industry.
• Strong existing network across the AI ecosystem, including relationships with AI startups, founders, technical teams, and industry leaders.
• Deep familiarity with the AI industry and demonstrated ability to build and maintain high-value industry relationships.
• Highly active in the San Francisco AI ecosystem and comfortable attending industry events multiple times per week to build relationships and expand Boundless's presence.

Nice to Have

• An existing network across AI/ML, RL/post-training, or inference-heavy companies
• Experience selling infrastructure, compute, developer tools, or API products
• Familiarity with vLLM/SGLang, RL frameworks (slime, prime-rl), or GPU economics
• Distributed compute or infrastructure platform exposure
• Experience working alongside product and engineering to shape roadmap
