Our client, a leading investment firm, is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to join their team in El Segundo, CA!
Responsibilities:

• Analyze financial and portfolio data to identify trends, gaps, and actionable insights that support business and investment decisions.
• Design and develop SQL-driven analyses, not just reports, to answer complex business questions.
• Partner with stakeholders to diagnose problems, challenge assumptions, and recommend data-backed solutions.
• Evaluate and improve reporting logic, ensuring outputs are meaningful, accurate, and decision-ready.
• Support development and enhancement of systems (trading workflows, liquidity tools) with a focus on business impact and usability.
• Translate business needs into clear requirements and user stories, ensuring alignment between technical solutions and business outcomes.
• Investigate data discrepancies and proactively identify root causes and solutions.
• Balance strategic project work with real-time analytical support for stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• 2–5 years of experience in a business analysis, data analysis, or analytics-focused role.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, with the ability to not just extract data but analyze and interpret it.
• Experience working with stakeholders to frame problems, ask the right questions, and deliver insights.
• Exposure to Python or analytical tools for deeper data analysis.
• Experience working with financial, investment, or operational data preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to connect data to business outcomes, not just produce outputs.
• Ability to manage both structured projects and ambiguous analytical requests.

Pay Rate: $360 - $480/Day
