About the role
We are currently recruiting for a Technical Assistant to join our UKCS Scotland business, based in Dalston. This role plays a key part in supporting the efficient delivery of operational, compliance and administrative activities across the project, ensuring statutory, contractual and internal requirements are met.
Working closely with the project team and wider stakeholders, you'll provide structured, proactive support across a broad range of technical, commercial and administrative functions, helping to keep the project running smoothly and compliantly in a fast‑paced operational environment.
What you'll be doing
- Supporting the coordination and processing of permits, consents and regulatory requirements, including Street Works permits, abnormal load notifications and statutory submissions
- Assisting with BIM and HIAMS responses, follow‑ups and close‑out activities
- Preparing statutory plans and supporting GIS data input and maintenance
- Keeping systems and records up to date in line with Business Management System requirements
- Assisting with the preparation of third‑party claims packs
- Coordinating stock orders and supporting inventory management
- Arranging and monitoring subcontractor inductions
- Coordinating training requirements and maintaining associated records
- Managing data inputs for sustainability reporting, including waste and recycled materials
- Providing day‑to‑day administrative support to the project team
- Maintaining accurate trackers, records and documentation
- Supporting document control and ensuring information is stored in line with company procedures
- Responding to ad‑hoc requests and supporting effective cross‑department collaboration

- Highly organised and methodical, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing deadlines
- Detail‑focused, with a strong commitment to accuracy and compliance
- Proactive and self‑motivated, able to work independently while supporting a wider team
- Approachable, professional and collaborative in your approach
- Adaptable and resilient, comfortable working in an operational environment
- Positive attitude towards health, safety and environmental compliance
- Willing to learn and keep up to date with changing systems, processes and requirements
- Confident user of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook
