Job Title: Technical Architect / MES Network Architect
Location: Trevose, PA / Plainfield, IL / Cary, NC / BayArea, CA / Vandalia, OH
Note: Position is remote but prefers the candidate closer to above locations.
Role Summary:
The Network Architect is responsible for leading the design, review, implementation, and continual optimization of enterprise network and cloud connectivity solutions. This role provides technical leadership to the Connectivity team, drives strategic architecture initiatives, and coordinates global and regional network projects to ensure secure, scalable, resilient, and high-performing infrastructure. The Network Architect acts as the technical authority for network design, governance, incident resolution, change management, and technology roadmaps while mentoring engineers and collaborating with business and IT stakeholders. This aligns with responsibilities commonly found in internal Network Architect role descriptions involving network architecture, cloud networking, design governance, operational support, and technical leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and mentor the Connectivity team and provide technical guidance across global and regional projects.
Define enterprise network and cloud architecture standards, best practices, and technology roadmaps.
Design scalable, secure, and resilient network solutions across LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, Wireless, Data Center, Internet, and Cloud environments.
Conduct architecture reviews, validate technical designs, and maintain high-level and low-level design documentation.
Drive network transformation, modernization, and optimization initiatives.
Support major incident management, root cause analysis, and remediation planning.
Govern change management activities and ensure adherence to operational and security standards.
Collaborate with project teams, vendors, and stakeholders to deliver infrastructure solutions aligned with business requirements.
Evaluate emerging technologies and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance, performance, availability, and operational excellence across the network estate.

Experience leading technical teams and architectural governance activities.
Relevant certifications such as
CCNP, CCIE, Azure, AWS, or equivalent
are preferred.
