Skill: Data Architect
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills:
- 12-15 years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, or related roles.
- Strong expertise in data modeling techniques (conceptual, logical, physical).
- Proven experience creating logical data flow diagrams and data lineage documentation.
- Hands-on proficiency with SQL and relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Solid understanding of dimensional modeling, normalization, and denormalization.
- Experience working closely with business, analytics, and engineering teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support business and analytical needs.
- Develop logical data flow diagrams representing data movement across source systems, integrations, and consumption layers.
- Partner with business stakeholders, data engineers, and application teams to translate requirements into scalable data architectures.
- Define and enforce data standards, naming conventions, and modeling best practices.
- Perform hands-on work with SQL and database platforms to validate models, optimize queries, and ensure data accuracy.
- Review and optimize existing data models for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Support data integration, ETL/ELT, and reporting initiatives with clear architectural guidance.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across systems.
- Provide architectural input for cloud, on prem, or hybrid data platforms.
- Mentor junior architects and data modelers as needed.
Salary Range - $110,000-$120,000 a year
