The Material and Structural Analysis Division (MSD) enables customers to find meaningful answers to questions that accelerate breakthrough discoveries, increase efficiency, and ultimately change the world. We design, manufacture, and support the broadest range of high-performance microscopy and spectroscopy workflows that provide images and answers in the micro-, nano-, and picometer scales. How will you make an impact?
The Senior Test Technician reinforces our Quality Culture through rigorous product testing to ensure that Customers across the world receive the highest quality best performing products possible. They perform assembly, integration and final testing of components in our wafer based Dual Beam systems. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. This position also participates in continuous process improvement activities to maintain the highest standards for workplace safety and quality.

What Will You Do?
" Configure, image, test, and validate Windows-based PCs and computer systems according to established work instructions and product requirements.
" Install and configure Windows operating systems, drivers, firmware, applications, and product-specific software.
" Perform PC imaging, re-imaging, cloning, and system recovery activities.
" Perform virus and malware scans and verify systems meet established security and configuration requirements.
" Install and upgrade computer hardware, including memory, storage devices, graphics cards, network adapters, and other PC components.
" Set up and configure servers and related hardware for manufacturing and product applications.
" Install, configure, test, and validate software packages and system applications.
" Create, burn, copy, and verify software and system installation media as required.
" Perform functional testing of PCs and servers to verify hardware and software performance.
" Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, operating system, driver, network, application, and software installation issues.
" Diagnose system failures and replace or repair defective PC components as required.
" Collect and document test results, system configurations, failures, and corrective actions.
" Follow established configuration control processes to ensure systems are built to the correct hardware and software revision.
" Escalate complex technical issues to Engineering or other support teams and assist with root-cause investigation.
" Maintain PC and server test equipment, tools, software libraries, and work areas.
" Support development and improvement of work instructions, troubleshooting guides, and standard operating procedures.
" Assist with training and mentoring other technicians on PC configuration, testing, and troubleshooting processes.
" Participate in Lean Manufacturing, 5S, quality, and continuous improvement activities.

Education
" High school diploma or equivalent required.
" Associate degree or 2-year technical degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronics, Computer Engineering Technology, or a related technical field preferred.
" Equivalent combination of education and relevant hands-on experience will be considered.

Experience
" 2+ years of hands-on experience configuring, testing, repairing, or supporting PCs, servers, or similar computer systems.
" Experience installing and troubleshooting Windows operating systems, software applications, device drivers, and hardware.
" Experience with PC imaging, system deployment, cloning, backup, and recovery processes.
" Experience installing and upgrading PC hardware such as RAM, SSDs/HDDs, graphics cards, network adapters, and peripheral devices.
" Experience diagnosing and resolving PC hardware and software issues.
" Experience setting up and configuring servers or server-class hardware preferred.
" Experience with virus scanning, malware detection, and basic computer security practices.
" Experience working with BIOS/UEFI configuration, firmware, drivers, and hardware diagnostics preferred.
" Experience with software installation media creation, software burning, or image deployment processes preferred.
" Experience working in a manufacturing, production, test, or regulated environment is a plus.
" Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement is a plus.
" Proficiency with Windows-based systems and Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
" Strong knowledge of PC hardware, Windows operating systems, drivers, software installation, and system configuration.
" Ability to assemble, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot desktop and server-class computer hardware.
" Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software problems systematically and identify root causes.
" Working knowledge of PC networking concepts, including TCP/IP, network adapters, connectivity, and basic network troubleshooting.
" Ability to follow detailed technical work instructions, configuration specifications, and documented procedures.
" Strong attention to detail when configuring systems and verifying hardware and software revisions.
" Demonstrated ability to work successfully with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and other technical teams.
" Self-motivated and organized, with the ability to manage multiple systems and priorities.
" Strong verbal and written communication skills.
