The Technical Analyst acts as a key member of an Agile team focused on deploying innovative technology solutions for a wide range of end-users, and is expected to use AI-assisted development tools to work efficiently while applying sound judgment to review and validate AI-generated output.

    What You Will Do:

    • Identify, triage, troubleshoot, and fix system issues
    • Define technical system requirements, collaborating with other teams as needed
    • Respond to and escalate critical issues where appropriate
    • Provide status updates and resolutions to IT leadership
    • Prioritize reported defects and route issues to the appropriate resources for resolution
    • Write, optimize, and maintain SQL (Structured Query Language) scripts, queries, and stored procedures to correct data issues, support reporting, and validate data integrity where these cannot be addressed by existing applications
    • Review and validate AI-generated code, scripts, and recommendations for accuracy, security, and quality before they are committed or deployed
    • Build and maintain scripts and lightweight tools (e.g., Python) to automate recurring tasks, transform data, and support integrations between systems
    • Create, refine, and manage work in JIRA, including authoring and grooming tickets, maintaining sprint boards and workflows, documenting clear acceptance criteria, and keeping ticket status current
    • Analyze root cause factors with investigative system tools, including reading code, that prevent production systems and processes from being highly reliable, accurate, and efficient
    • Identify patterns in repeating system issues and escalate unresolved problems promptly and effectively while communicating patterns clearly and effectively with IT leadership
    • Participate in daily stand-ups by verifying ticket progress and resolving questions or concerns from the development community
    • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with cross functional teams
    • Anticipate needs and organize and prioritize requests to ensure the success of multiple team initiatives in a timely manner

    • Experience with data structures from custom-built systems
    • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor) for code generation, debugging, and testing
    • Experience working in JIRA (or comparable issue-tracking tooling) to manage tickets, sprints, and Agile workflows
    • Experience extending JIRA with ScriptRunner and Forge apps preferred
    • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
    • AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification preferred
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences
    • Ability to manage multiple competing tasks and deliverables effectively
    • Strong analytical thinking and problem solving-skills
    • Familiarity with modern software development workflows, including version control, code review, and CI/CD practices
    • Ability to use AI-assisted development and analysis tools effectively and responsibly, applying sound judgment to verify and validate AI-generated code and recommendations
    • Clear and direct written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to function independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
    • Ability to acquire a working knowledge of any software applications applicable to the position
    • Exhibit knowledge of project management methodologies, milestones, and deliverable management within an Agile and Sprint framework
