    Responsibilities

    In this role the Perioperative Technician will perform the following duties:

    • Clean and maintain the Operating rooms as well as all equipment
    • Secure supplies for OR team, and restock rooms.
    • Positioning, transferring and transporting patients within the various areas within Perioperative Services.

    Qualifications

    Education

    Required: High School Diploma or GED

    Licensure/Certifications

    Required BLS (American Heart Association) within 30 days from the date of hire.

    Preferred Licensure/Certifications: CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant), PCA (Patient Care Assistant), or MA (Medical Assistant)

    Experience

    Required: Less than one (1) year of patient care (i.e. nursing assistant/surgical tech/ MA), Supply chain, Operating Room or relevant medical equipment experience

    Preferred: 3-5 years patient care, Supply Chain, OR, or relevant medical equipment experience

    Necessary Skills

    • Customer Service skills.
    • Must possess manual dexterity, computer skills, and be able to work under pressure.
    • Effective oral and written communication skills.
    • Must be able to read, spell and do simple math, write clearly and understand written and oral instructions.
    • Need to have effective computer skills, including typing, and use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc)
    • Demonstrates teamwork and communicates in a professional manner with all members of the healthcare team
    • Demonstrates a willingness to learn new methods, procedures and techniques resulting from departmental or organization change.
    • Adapts quickly and easily to change and adjusted behavior and approach to work when necessary to achieve goals.
