Job Title: Backend/API Developer
We are seeking a highly skilled Backend/API Developer with a strong background in Agile methodologies to join our team as a contractor. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in backend development and API design, demonstrating a deep understanding of Agile principles and practices. This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently and collaboratively in a fast paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust backend systems and APIs that meet business requirements.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand ups, and retrospectives.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to best practices.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Identify and troubleshoot performance issues and bugs in a timely manner.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance development processes.
Mandatory Skills:
- Strong knowledge and experience in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
- Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js.
- Experience with RESTful API design and development.
- Familiarity with database technologies (SQL, NoSQL) and data modeling.
- Understanding of version control systems, preferably Git.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Qualifications:

- 7 10 years of professional experience in backend development and API design.
- Proven track record of working in Agile environments.
