    Overview
    We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead to oversee the endtoend migration of enterprise BI reporting solutions from Qlik (QlikView/Qlik Sense) to Power BI, leveraging the Microsoft Azure data platform. This role will drive architecture, development standards, data modeling, and team leadership to ensure a scalable, secure, and highquality BI environment.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Migration Leadership
    • Lead the conversion of Qlik dashboards, data models, and scripts into Power BI datasets, semantic models, and reports.
    • Assess existing Qlik assets, document functional requirements, and define the migration roadmap.
    • Ensure functional parity or improvement when redesigning reports in Power BI.
    2. Technical Architecture & Development
    • Design scalable BI and analytics architecture on Azure (Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, Azure Analysis Services/Fabric).
    • Build optimized Power BI semantic models, including star schema modeling, DAX measures, and performance tuning.
    • Oversee integration with data pipelines feeding BI datasets.
    3. Governance, Security & Best Practices
    • Implement Power BI workspace governance, RLS/OLS security models, deployment pipelines, and DevOps ALM practices.
    • Establish coding standards for DAX, M queries, data modeling, and reusable components.
    • Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and enterprise standards.
    4. Stakeholder Engagement
    • Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into performant BI solutions.
    • Collaborate closely with data engineering, cloud infrastructure, and analytics teams.
    • Provide guidance, training, and enablement for Power BI adoption across teams.
    5. Technical Leadership & Mentoring
    • Lead a team of BI developers and analysts delivering migration work.
    • Conduct code reviews, provide architectural guidance, and ensure solution quality.
    • Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and modernization of the BI stack.

    Required Skills & Experience
    • 8–12+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics, and Data Engineering.
    • Strong expertise in QlikView/Qlik Sense, including load scripts, data models, and dashboard design.
    • Advanced proficiency in Power BI—DAX, Power Query, data modeling, performance optimization, deployment pipelines.
    • Handson experience with Azure data services:
      • Azure SQL / Synapse
      • Azure Data Factory / Fabric pipelines
      • Azure Data Lake (ADLS Gen2)
      • Azure Analysis Services or Power BI semantic models
    • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts (star schema, ETL/ELT).
    • Experience leading development teams in complex BI modernization or cloud migration programs.
    • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

    Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience with Microsoft Fabric
    • Familiarity with CI/CD for Power BI using Azure DevOps or GitHub.
    • Knowledge of Qlik-to-Power BI automated migration tools
    • Azure certifications such as DP203, PL300, or AZ900.
