Job Title: Platform/DevOps Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled Platform/DevOps Engineer with a strong background in DevOps practices and methodologies. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in the field, demonstrating a deep understanding of continuous integration, continuous deployment, and infrastructure as code. This role is crucial for enhancing our platform's reliability, scalability, and performance while ensuring seamless collaboration between development and operations teams.
Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery processes.
Collaborate with development teams to define and implement infrastructure requirements.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
Implement and manage cloud infrastructure using tools such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Develop and maintain configuration management scripts using tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
Ensure security best practices are integrated into the DevOps processes.
Document processes, configurations, and best practices for team knowledge sharing.
Participate in on call rotations and provide support for production systems.
Mandatory Skills:
Strong expertise in DevOps practices and tools.
Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Ruby.
Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
Hands on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
Knowledge of database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
Familiarity with serverless architecture and microservices.
Experience with security compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO, NIST).
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
7 10 years of experience in DevOps or related roles.
Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Solutions Expert) are a plus.
Strong problem solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
