Position Title: Tech Lead - Agent Deployment Framework
Location: San Francisco, CA (REMOTE)
Duration: Long Term Contract

Job description:
We are seeking a hands-on Technical Lead to spearhead the architecture, development, and delivery of our enterprise Agent Deployment Framework and Active Data Products. In this role, you will lead a team of senior Python and cloud engineers focused on extending our existing Python-based DPS framework into a resilient, scalable, self-service platform. This platform will enable internal developer teams to build, test, and deploy AI agents, Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations, and Slack applications effortlessly.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned software architect and player-coach who thrives on distributed systems engineering, clean API design, and enterprise-grade automation. You will ensure that hundreds of independently owned agent packages can safely deploy to AWS AgentCore and Slack runtimes without requiring changes to shared platform code.

Basic Qualifications:

Seasoned software architect and player-coach
Experience in distributed systems engineering
Proficiency in clean API design and enterprise-grade automation

Required Skills:

Expertise in Python and cloud engineering
Experience with AWS, GitHub Actions, and Slack runtimes
Strong leadership and team management skills
Ability to conduct rigorous code reviews
Experience with CLI tooling and automation
Knowledge of enterprise CI/CD pipelines
Understanding of distributed systems security
Familiarity with integration frameworks
Experience in platform multi-tenancy and observability

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP) and Slack APIs
Knowledge of asynchronous streaming and OAuth/OIDC flows
Familiarity with dbt, Snowflake, and Tableau semantic models
Experience implementing Governance as Code
Understanding of SOX compliance

Role and responsibilities:

Define the technical vision and architectural roadmap for the Agent Deployment Framework and Active Data Products
Lead a team of senior Python and cloud engineers
Champion a seamless developer experience (DX)
Oversee and contribute to the development of robust CLI tools
Architect reliable GitHub Actions-based YAML deployment pipelines
Enforce secure credential management
Design reusable capabilities for integration frameworks
Ensure core runtime securely isolates independent agent packages
Implement comprehensive tracking, metrics, and logs
Deliver reliable GitHub Actions–based deployments
Extend ingestion, data-quality, and self-healing capabilities
Support Tableau semantic models through governed MCP/Slack activation
