    Technician in Charge\n \nTransdev in Savannah, GA is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Diesel Technician to join our team. The Lead Diesel Technician will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of our diesel technician team, ensuring the timely and efficient diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of diesel vehicles and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional service.\n \nTransdev is proud to offer:\n \n+ Competitive compensation package of minimum $45.71 \u2013 Maximum $50.63\n \n+ Night and weekend shift pay differential\n \nBenefits include:\n \n+ Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks\n \n+ Sick days: 5 days\n \n+ Holidays: 12 days; 11 standard and 1 floating\n \n+ Other standard benefits: 401(k) retirement plan, medical, dental and vision, life insurance, short-term disability, voluntary long-term disability.\n \n+ Company paid ASE testing, training materials, and tool reimbursement\n \nWork Schedule: This is a 3rd shift overnight position: 10:00 PM \u2013 6:30 AM, Sunday night through Thursday night.\n \nKey Responsibilities:\n \n+ Coordinate and prioritize the workload of the diesel technician team, assigning tasks and ensuring that all work is completed in a timely manner.\n \n+ Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to identify and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues in diesel vehicles and equipment.\n \n+ Manage inventory levels of parts and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels to support maintenance and repair activities while minimizing waste and excess inventory.\n \n+ Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and other components, adhering to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.\n \n+ Coach and monitor members of the work team.\n \n+ Other duties as required.\n \nQualifications:\n \n+ Minimum of 5 years of experience as a diesel technician, with demonstrated proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and related systems.\n \n+ Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.\n \n+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.\n \n+ Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable.
