We are expanding our Technology Due Diligence offering within the Strategy & Deals team and are seeking experienced professionals to lead high-profile buy-side and sell-side engagements. Our engagements deliver targeted assessments of technology risk, value creation potential, and operational resilience — enabling investors and corporate clients to make well-informed transaction decisions.

    Level Guidance

We are open at both the Engagement Lead and Engagement Director level, depending on candidate experience:

    • Engagement Lead (EL): 7+ years of relevant experience, with a proven track record of leading technology due diligence engagements in financial services
    • Engagement Director (ED): 10+ years of relevant experience, with a proven track record of leading technology due diligence engagements in financial services and managing senior client relationships.

    Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities below apply across both levels; Engagement Directors are expected to take greater ownership of client relationships and practice development.

    Engagements

    • Lead technology due diligence engagements end-to-end, forming a clear view of a target’s technology platforms, architecture, and development practices, and translating technical findings into actionable commercial and investment insights that inform deal strategy.
    • Assess enterprise technology environments, architecture, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and software development practices in the context of the transaction thesis.
    • Evaluate how AI, data platforms, and emerging technologies support the commercial strategy, product roadmap, and growth ambitions.
    • Translate technical findings into commercial, financial, and investment insights that directly inform client decision-making.
    • For fintech and software platform targets, evaluate the product architecture, data assets, and platform scalability alongside the commercial value of the product in the market.
    • Where the engagement involves an integration, assess IT synergy opportunities and identify key IT integration considerations.
    • Where the engagement involves a carve-out, assess the standalone operating model impacts on IT and evaluate related standalone cost adjustments for IT expenditure

    Client & Stakeholder Management

    • Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders, including private equity investment teams, CFOs and CTOs
    • Structure and present conclusions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

    Team & Practice

    • Mentor and develop team members, ensuring high-quality deliverables and knowledge sharing across the team.
    • Support business development efforts, including proposals, client pitches, and thought leadership.

    What We’re Looking For

    • 7 to 10+ years of relevant experience (see Level Guidance above).
    • Strong track record of delivering technology-focused due diligence within financial services.
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to distil complex findings into actionable insights.
    • Proven experience leading teams and client relationships at a senior level.
    • Demonstrable depth in emerging technology (e.g., AI, GenAI, data platforms), combined with the ability to connect technical findings to commercial strategy, product competitiveness, and investment outcomes.
    • Familiarity with adjacent workstreams — such as operational due diligence or integration planning — is advantageous.
