A growing enterprise organization is seeking a Technical Risk & Assurance Specialist to provide independent assessment and insight across critical technology platforms and engineering initiatives.

This role is designed for individuals who combine strong technical understanding with analytical thinking, sound judgment, and excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will evaluate technology environments, engineering practices, system reliability, operational processes, and platform dependencies to help identify opportunities for improvement and strengthen organizational effectiveness.

The position works closely with engineering, technology, and business stakeholders to assess how systems are designed, delivered, operated, and maintained while providing practical recommendations that support technology and business objectives.

What You'll Do:
  • Review technology architectures, system interactions, dependencies, and operational processes.
  • Evaluate software delivery practices, deployment pipelines, reliability, and system resilience.
  • Analyze integrations, APIs, data flows, and platform dependencies.
  • Utilize modern tools, analytics, and automation techniques to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Assess technology delivery processes, prioritization frameworks, and operational effectiveness.
  • Review third-party integrations, external dependencies, and technology controls.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Support initiatives aimed at improving technology operations, governance, reliability, and delivery outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in technology risk, engineering, platform operations, DevOps, site reliability engineering, consulting, or related technical disciplines.
  • Understanding of modern software development practices, Agile delivery, DevOps, CI/CD, APIs, and distributed systems.
  • Ability to evaluate technical environments, operational processes, system reliability, and platform architecture.
  • Experience leveraging data, automation, analytics, or emerging technologies to support assessments and decision-making.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders through objective analysis and practical recommendations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • Experience working in consulting, advisory, risk, assurance, or governance functions.
  • Background in engineering, platform operations, architecture, or technology leadership.
  • Experience supporting large-scale enterprise technology environments.
  • Familiarity with third-party technology assessments, operating models, governance, or performance metrics.
  • Exposure to cloud-native platforms, data-intensive environments, or highly available systems.
