Join our team as a Tech 1, Mechanical Engineering Lab Technician in Franklin Lakes, NJ. This vital onsite, second-shift contractor role (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM) is perfect for hands-on problem-solvers eager to launch or advance their technical career in a regulated laboratory environment. You'll work directly with experienced supervisors to support daily test lab operations, develop technical skills, and contribute to real-world engineering projects.
[Responsibilities]
- Execute engineering tests for design verification, stability, and feasibility studies
- Assist in equipment qualification and test method validation projects
- Troubleshoot and resolve test request inconsistencies
- Maintain meticulous documentation and uphold lab compliance standards
- Support process improvements to streamline lab operations
- Collaborate with verification and validation teams to ensure accurate testing
[Required Skills and Experience]
- Bachelor's in Science or Associate's in Applied Science (no experience required), or High School Diploma with 4+ years' experience in a regulated lab setting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to follow good documentation and laboratory practices
- Capable of standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working with PPE and handling chemicals or biological samples
