Teamcenter Functional Consultant

Must-Have Technical / Functional Skills

• Strong functional knowledge of Siemens Teamcenter PLM and Active Workspace.
• Experience across core Teamcenter capabilities such as Part and Item Management, Product Structure and BOM Management, Change Management, Document Management, workflows, lifecycle controls, classification, effectivity, and access/security concepts.
• Ability to discover business needs, analyze current-state processes, identify gaps, and translate requirements into clear functional requirements, process flows, use cases, acceptance criteria, and solution options.
• Experience assessing product fitment and confirming that requirements are feasible and implementable within Teamcenter.
• Ability to lead functional workshops independently and drive convergence among business, operations, engineering, manufacturing, and technology stakeholders.
• Experience validating functional requirements and configured solutions in Teamcenter environments.
• Working knowledge of integrations between Teamcenter and enterprise systems such as ERP, Manufacturing Systems, AML, Product Hub, SAP, CAD, reporting platforms, and supplier or contract-manufacturer ecosystems.
• Ability to support onsite-offshore execution, clarify requirements, resolve functional questions, and maintain traceability through design, build, testing, deployment, and stabilization.
• Excellent functional documentation, presentation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead discovery sessions and workshops to understand business processes, pain points, controls, data needs, and expected outcomes.
• Create and maintain business requirements, functional requirements, process maps, use cases, fit-gap assessments, functional design inputs, and acceptance criteria.
• Assess Teamcenter product fitment, recommend practical solution options, and drive cross-functional alignment and approval.
• Provide functional leadership for end-to-end BOM and product-data processes, including part, document, change, workflow, classification, effectivity, and access-control requirements.
• Partner with architects, developers, integration teams, data teams, QA, and business SMEs to ensure the implemented solution remains aligned with approved requirements.
• Review solution designs, configurations, prototypes, test scenarios, and defect resolutions from a functional perspective.
• Validate requirements and business processes in Teamcenter and Active Workspace environments, support UAT, and facilitate business sign-off.
• Coordinate onsite and offshore teams, communicate decisions and dependencies, and proactively escalate risks, gaps, and blockers.
• Support user readiness, process documentation, training inputs, deployment planning, and post-production stabilization.
• Identify opportunities to improve PLM adoption, reduce manual or spreadsheet-driven processes, and increase business value from the Teamcenter platform.

Location: Sunnyvale,CA/Austin,TX (3days in office)

Salary Range: $110,000-$145,000 a year
