Team Leader Shipping

• High School Diploma or GED

• Basic knowledge of TPS

• Must be able to stoop, bend, kneel & Twist

• Prefer previous material handling or shipping experience

• Must be able to lift/move 50 lbs. regularly; may occasionally lift/move up to 100 lbs., but only with assistance from other team members or mechanical equipment

• Good communication skills and basic leadership skills

• No written corrective action

• No more than 6 points under Company Attendance Control System

Description

1.

Perform duties in accordance to their standardized work instructions.  Assist in loading/unloading of trucks, palletizing and wrapping loads, checking off shipments and kanban sorting.

2.

Responsible to oversee and audit Team Members performance of their jobs in accordance to standardized work instructions.

3.

Assist in the identification of potential problems or abnormal conditions and assist in the establishment of countermeasures and corrective actions. Involvement in departmental Kaizen activities.

4.

Review and maintain work instructions.  Assist in updates and development of new instructions as required.

5.

Assist with the development of work instructions and training for implementation of New Systems.

6.

Assist in the training of new Team Members.

7.

Ensure EMS/QMS procedures are followed in performance of job duties.

8.

Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
