Previous food service experience preferred. Must be comfortable in a hospital setting and be able to read, write and speak English.

Position Summary:Oversees the food service process. Guides and instructs team members to ensure proper handling of food, safety and customer satisfaction

- Assures proper sanitation procedures are followed.
- Assures all dishes are clean and put away.
- Assures all kitchen and cafe areas are clean and organized.
- Assures room service program standards are maintained.
- Provides assistance when needed.
Quality Control
- Maintains all departmental quality control logs, cleaning assignments and all paperwork is done, filed and properly reviewed.
- Participates in writing and reviewing of policies and procedures
- Resolves day to day patient/family problems and refers unresolved issues to the proper manager in a timely manner
Position Requirements:
- Good verbal and written skills.
- Certification in food sanitation required.
