Team Leader, Enterprise Technology

The Team Leader in the Infrastructure Platform Engineering team provides direction, guidance and instruction for a team of Systems Engineers and Administrators.

We are looking for a strong leader to guide the team in building and maintaining both production and non-production environments critical to our business. This role will ensure that the team delivers world class client service while supporting Puppet, Terraform, Kubernetes, Certificates, Task Automation, server provisioning, and more. This position requires a technical mind that has a deep understanding of security, networking, and server virtualization technologies, good operational experience and experience managing a team of IT professionals.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Supervise day-to-day operations of the Infrastructure Platform Engineering team. Ensure that the workload is distributed evenly and that service goals are achieved.
• Lead by setting a good example - behavior consistent with words. Create an environment oriented to trust, open communication, creative thinking, and cohesive team effort
• Encourage creativity, risk-taking, and constant improvement amongst the team. Recognize and celebrate team and team member accomplishments and exceptional performance. Intervene when necessary to aid the group in resolving issues
• Communicate clear instructions to team members and hold them accountable when goals and objectives are not met
• Provide regular status reports on tasks accomplished, current issues and progress toward goals.
• Communicate to business clients, technical teams and management in a consistent manner making complex technical issues and solutions clear, simple and understandable
• Manage vendor relationships and escalate issues when appropriate

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

Must Have:

• 8+ years of experience in Information Technology in an enterprise environment
• 2+ years of experience overseeing a technology team
• Enterprise level Active Directory experience
• Strong collaboration with other IT and business teams
• Strong soft skills

Nice to Have:

• Infrastructure as Code experience
• Kubernetes infrastructure experience
• Infrastructure Modernization through Platform engineering a big plus
• BS or BA degree, or equivalent experience.
