Kirby Risk Electrical Supply is seeking a Warehouse Team Lead to support operations at our Distribution Center in Indianapolis, IN. This role is ideal for a working manager who thrives in fast-paced environments and leads through example.
What You will Do as a Warehouse 2nd Shift Team LeadIn this role, you'll work alongside the second-shift team to support daily warehouse operations, provide guidance and training, and help ensure operational goals are met safely and efficiently.
You will:
Train, teach, and mentor warehouse team membersLead shift start meetings and assign, monitor, and balance daily workloadsMaintain a consistent and efficient workflow throughout the dayDevelop, update, and reinforce warehouse processes and proceduresCommunicate and follow up with multiple departments and functionsBuild cross-functional teamwork and support employee engagement and moraleSupport quality control standards and safe work practicesWork alongside the team as a hands-on leader to meet operational goals
What Makes You a Great Fit
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience3+ years of warehouse and/or light manufacturing experience1+ year of experience within Kirby Risk, electrical distribution, or the wire industryDemonstrated experience training and developing team membersStrong commitment to quality, accuracy, and process adherenceWillingness to work overtime and flexible shifts as neededComputer proficiency; experience with Eclipse or WMS preferredAbility to understand, follow, and support standard operating proceduresAbility to perform and retain skill-based training across warehouse operationsElectrical distribution experience is a plus
