Team Leader Core Laboratory Cytogenetics

Duties:

• Supports Teammates in the execution of the team's responsibilities.
• Responsible for training and coaching teammates, creating and improving standard work, and responding to abnormal conditions.
• Responsible for problem-solving, safety, and quality of the team's performance.

Job Description Essential Functions:

• Ensures the development of standard work and the training and development of Teammates.
• Responsible for supporting the continuous flow of specimens throughout the area of responsibility.
• Covers gaps for call outs, project time, personnel needs, and unexpected teammate absences.
• Actively looks for ways to improve the performance of the team resulting in improved quality, customer service, productivity, and a reduction in spending.

Skills:

• Physical Requirements include working in a busy environment, ability to navigate around equipment, and work with infectious materials.
• Skills Needed: Previous FISH Analysis, Chromosome Analysis (blood and bone marrow), and Cytogenetics Wet Bench Setup experience preferred.

Education:

• Must be an ASCP registered Medical Technologist or equivalent with 2-5 years of relevant experience. Thorough understanding of company products, quality management, and control systems required.

Schedule:

• Hours: Monday-Friday 12:00pm-8:30pm, Rotating Holiday and Weekend Coverage. Dress Code: Red scrubs

Required License and/or Certification:

• CG(ASCP) required

Pay Rate:

• 35.50 - 50.25 USD Hourly, $4k relocation, $5k Sign-On
