    TITLE: Operations Team Leader

    DEPARTMENT: EIMC

    REPORTS TO: Senior Vice President of Engle Martin and Managing Director of EIMC

    STATUS: Regular, full-time; exempt

    This is a fully remote position that can sit anywhere in the US.

    SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE

    EIMC, an Engle Martin company, is an independent marine consulting services company providing supply chain loss control and claims investigation expertise to insurers, brokers, 3PLs and industrial partners. The Operations Team Leader will provides leadership and direct supervision to a team of Operations Specialists who support claims and risk management team scheduling, resource allocation, client communications, document production, database administration, vendor management, and sales activities.

    PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Provides direct supervision of designated direct reports and performs functions such as but not limited to, the selection, onboarding, training, and development of the Operations team.
    • Learns, leverages, and develops team member strengths and skillsets with assigned work.
    • Embraces and applies the tenets of management training programs and corporate operating systems.
    • Initiates the development and refinement of processes, procedures, reporting, data management, and workflow automation within the scope of the Operations team.
    • Uses independent judgment to assign incoming workflow within the Operations team according to relevant skill set.
    • Responds to incoming customers inquiries and directs to the appropriate department or team according to established processes.
    • Responds to incoming internal vendor resource requests in a timely manner.
    • Examines and selects vendor resources prior to assigning to projects and/or referring to Project Managers.
    • Leads regularly scheduled meetings and serves as a resource to the Operations team and assists with functions that are more complex.
    • Centralizes key business processes based upon established processes and workflow guidelines and participates in new process development.
    • Stays abreast of office and company policies, procedures, and practices; participates in ongoing training and development as assigned or approved to assure knowledge and skills remain current and comprehensive.
    • Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with other members of the organization across departments, divisions, and locations.
    • Maintains the confidentiality of proprietary and sensitive information, exercising sound judgment and discretion in any disclosure of information related to EM, EIMC, and its endeavors.
    • Adheres to all applicable State Insurance Regulation requirements and other applicable laws, regulations, and standards.

    REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor's degree
    • At least five years of experience in an administrative or operations role
    • Prior logistics/international trade experience preferred

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    Work is conducted primarily in a remote location or in an indoor office environment with protection from weather conditions and with exposure to noise typical of an office or administrative setting.

    PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS

    Work requires light lifting (10 - 20 lbs.), standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, reaching, fingering (keyboarding) and repetitive hand motion, grasping, talking, and hearing at normal speaking levels. Work requires visual acuity to read and prepare data and figures, type words and numbers, view information on a computer terminal, read, operate office machines, and determine the accuracy and thoroughness of work.
