The Patient Service Representative (PSR) Team Lead oversees front office operations and supports staff to ensure efficient patient flow and a high-quality patient experience. This role serves as a resource for complex patient issues, ensures accuracy in registration and insurance processes, and provides training, coaching, and performance feedback to team members while maintaining compliance with HIPAA and office policies.
Schedule: 40 hours per week
Monday - Friday 7:30AM-5PM

Responsibilities:
Lead and support front office staff in daily operations
Serve as a point of contact for complex patient issues and escalations
Monitor scheduling efficiency, patient flow, and wait times
Train, mentor, and onboard new Patient Service Representatives
Ensure accuracy in patient registration, insurance verification, and data entry
Oversee cash handling, copay collection, and reconciliation processes
Assist with staffing coverage and workflow adjustments as needed
Maintain compliance with HIPAA and office policies
Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback to team members
Identify opportunities to improve patient experience and front office processes
Communicate updates, policies, and expectations to the team
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Detail-oriented with strong attention to accuracy
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated leadership ability, including modeling professional behavior, managing multiple tasks, maintaining a positive attitude, and adapting to organizational change
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the ability to quickly learn new software
Strong leadership, organizational, and computer skills
Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with staff, leadership, clients, and the public
Skilled in multitasking, prioritizing, and working both independently and as part of a team
Effective time management skills with the ability to contribute to operational efficiency and productivity
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
