    We're hiring a Team Leader, Cardiac Monitoring to help lead the daily operations of our monitoring stations and support staff. In this role, you'll partner with department leadership to coordinate workflows, support team development, and ensure high standards in cardiac rhythm monitoring. This position combines hands-on telemetry expertise with leadership responsibilities to support quality patient care across the organization.

    What you'll do

    • Assist the Department Manager and Supervisor with the daily operations of monitoring stations and support staff.
    • Audit telemetry strips and monitoring documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with department standards.
    • Review flow strips and monitoring records to confirm they are completed correctly and consistently.
    • Provide education, coaching, and ongoing support to team members to maintain competency in cardiac rhythm monitoring.
    • Help coordinate staffing, workflows, and quality initiatives while supporting WakeMed's mission and values.

    Who you are

    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • 3 Years Healthcare Required, 1 Year Leadership Required with at least one year of telemetry monitoring experience.
    • Strong knowledge of cardiac rhythms and telemetry monitoring practices.
    • Experience reviewing, interpreting, and auditing rhythm strips and monitoring documentation.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
